FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MOSQUITO & TICK CONTROL SERVICES IN NEW JERSEY
How long will the treatment be effective in my yard?
Each treatment lasts approximately 21 days.
What products are being used in my yard and are they safe?
Our mosquito treatments utilize a product that contains synthetic forms of Pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins are pesticides found naturally in chrysanthemum flowers and are toxic to insects and effective in reducing them. Pyrethrins are commonly used to control mosquitoes and many other pests. Our products are water-based, and will not harm plants. All of our products are EPA-registered and approved.
Will anyone need to be home during the treatment?
Our team of technicians can treat your property without anyone being home, as long as pets are inside and we have access to your property. An email, text or phone call will be made prior to application and after application.
How will I know my yard has been treated if no one was home?
After we have serviced your property, the technician will leave a door hanger on your front door with the service and follow up details. We will also follow up with an email or text explaining treatment.
What if it rains after my yard has been treated?
Rain should not impact the effectiveness of your service, as long as your yard has had sufficient time to dry after the application of your treatment (around 30 minutes depending on temperature and humidity).
After a treatment, how long should we wait before it is safe to be in our yard?
Depending on the humidity and outdoor climate, we typically recommend a minimum of 20 – 30 minutes wait period. After a barrier treatment, it is important that the product has completely dried before utilizing your yard.
Will the treatment affect my swimming pool or fishpond?
Since pyrethroids are hazardous to fish, our technicians are trained to avoid fishponds when servicing your property. Although our products do not affect swimming pools, our technicians are also trained to not allow the spray to contact the pool water.

How long does a mosquito barrier treatment take?
